Authorities in China are also trying to make it easier for dairy farmers to cut costs and enlarge their markets.
In the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, local officials are slashing production costs by asking factories to collect fresh milk directly from farmers.
And in northeastern Heilongjiang Province, farmers now need to pay much less to rent land for grazing.
In Shandong and Hebei provinces, subsidies will be distributed to farmers and factories.
And in Liaoning Province, the local government is raising funds for milk producers, so that they can upgrade their equipment, and improve standards for quality control.
