Greek president visits art gallery in Beijing

The coming of the 2008 Summer Games has helped to warm friendly ties between China, and Greece, where the Olympic Games were born.

During his visit to China last week, Greek President Karolos Papoulias showed up at the Jintai Art Gallery in Beijing, for an exhibition on contemporary Greek art.

Titled "The Mind and the Body", the exhibition features hundreds of works by Greek artists, including paintings, sculptures, and installations. President Papoulias was enthusiastic about the exhibits.

The Jintai Art Gallery has held more than a hundred international cultural events, providing a platform for cultural exchanges between China and the rest of the world.
